Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile Dysfunction refers to inability in having or maintaining an erection sufficient for penetration or sexual intercourse. Studies reveal that about 40% males above 40 years and around 70% males above 70 years suffer from this condition. The process for an erection begins in the brain. Physical and/or mental stimulation cause the brain to send chemical messages to nerves in the penis signalling the penile blood vessels to relax so that blood can flow freely into the penis. This causes the penis to expand and have an erection. The major causes of Erectile Dysfunction can be either physiological or psychological and include cardiovascular diseases, neurological disorders, hormonal insufficiencies, Diabetes, Hypertension, obesity, stress, anxiety, depression, past sexual trauma, side effect of medicines, alcoholism, etc. A useful and simple way to distinguish between physiological and psychological impotence is to determine whether the patient ever had an erection. If never, the problem is likely to be physiological; if sometimes, it could be either physiological or psychological.
Research suggests that minor sexual problems left untreated often leads to impotency later in life. Since people are too embarrassed to discuss such problems, sufferers are often reluctant to seek proper medical treatment. This gradually leads to impotency. Nowadays, all treatments merely target the symptoms, without addressing the root cause of the problem. These medications have side-effects too. However, effective solution has been achieved through Fundamentals of Ayurveda, Unani and Therapeutic Yoga. 'Naturoveda Health World' successfully employs a unique combination of these three systems to provide safe and long-lasting results without any side effect.
